Studio Antics is made up of Tilly Robba and Steph Jowett, a directing and writing duo based in Sydney.
Their latest project is the ABC Original short documentary LESBIANS ON THE LOOSE, supported by Screen NSW and Documentary Australia. The film was screened Seattle International Film Festival and Brooklyn Film Festival, nominated at the Australian Directors Guild Awards and received the Audience Award for Best Short Film at the Mardi Gras Film Festival.
Currently, Tilly and Steph are in the development phase of an animated series SINGLE, a project that has garnered development support from Screen Australia twice. The series' short pilot premiered at OutFest and has been screened at the Mardi Gras Film Festival and the prestigious Iris Prize. As part of the 'Iris on the Move' tour, it will soon reach audiences in the UK.
Their portfolio includes the short documentary DYKES ON BIKES: AN ORIGIN STORY, supported by Canon and premiered at CinefestOZ. Another of their works, the short film WINONA, had its premiere at the Palm Springs International ShortFest.
Studio Antics also ventures into the realm of music videos, creating visuals for artists such as Jessica Mauboy, ASTON, Chela, and BVT. Their music video LALAKI screened at SXSW in Sydney and won Best Music Video at the FBi SMAC Awards. Moreover, they have directed commercials for notable brands, including JD Sports, BOSS, Spotify, and Hoodrich.
